One of the most significant aspects of our streamlined internal processes is the use of quality machinery, which is why it is so important to continue sourcing only the best equipment designed to give you the best outcomes!
We’re elated to announce that we have just installed two new machines, a Press Brake made in Turkey, and a Plate Roller constructed in Italy. Both of the machines will increase productivity when it comes to metal bending and metal rolling, encourage upskilling, create a more seamless workflow and effectively lead to improved turn-around times for customers.
Speed-Bend Pro 4100-600 CNC Press Brake
The first machine QSM has invested in is an Ermaksan Speed-Bend Pro 4100-600 CNC Press Brake that is 4.1 metres long with 600 tonnes of bending force.
This machine replaced an older Press Brake in our fleet with less tonnage force. Adding this newer and stronger machine to our fleet of existing bending machines means we will be able to increase production and as previously stated, better service our customers’ lead times. The acquisition of this new machine will also result in now having five full-time bending operators, on five different bending machines ranging from 100 tonnes up to 1500 tonnes of bending force. Additionally, with our massive library of interchange tooling, we can also almost offer any material and geometry for our customers.
It’s also worth noting that the Speed-Bend Pro is equipped with a state-of-the-art Delem controller that offers a complete 3D machine set-up with multiple tool stations giving true feedback on the product feasibility and handling, as well as increasing the accuracy of bends that we can provide for our customers.
Davi MCB-I30 Plate Roller
The other machine that we installed this month was a Davi MCB-I30 Plate Roller, made in Italy, that rolls flat sheets of metal into cylinders and cones. The Plate Roller has a top roll diameter of 460mm diameter by 3m long and can roll 25mm thick mild steel.
The I-Roll software allows our machine operators to create a program that allows the machine to roll the metal in fully automatic mode. This dramatically speeds up the rolling process for projects with more than one cylinder and will increase our production output.
